This magnificent rug, originating from the renowned Persian region of Ardakan, is a textile work of art that embodies the elegance and richness of traditional Persian design. The central field is dominated by an intense ruby red, serving as a backdrop for an elaborate all-over design composed of curvilinear vines, stylized palmettes, rosettes, and lotus flowers. At the center stands a majestic almond-shaped medallion with a deep midnight blue background, also enriched with intricate floral compositions in shades of sky blue, cream, and beige, with delicate red accents. This medallion is framed by four corner spandrels that faithfully echo its motif and color palette, creating an effect of great harmony.

The wide main border, in an elegant midnight blue, features a succession of scrolling floral motifs alternating with cartouches and smaller medallions.
