Made with hand-carded wool for the pile and a cotton warp, this rug features a classic and rich design. The central field is dominated by a vibrant lacquer red, upon which stands a magnificent, complex-shaped central medallion, enriched with stylized floral motifs and palmettes that expand towards the corners, creating a harmonious composition.

The richness of the design continues in the all-over pattern that covers the entire red surface, with an infinity of botanical motifs, arabesques, and small floral elements gracefully dancing. The predominant colors, besides the deep red, are dark blue and ivory/cream, with accents of soft light blue and ocher details that add depth and vibrancy.

The main border, in an intense midnight blue, frames the field with a succession of large palmettes and stylized flowers, also richly decorated and separated by smaller bands that echo the rug's motifs and colors.
